When you wish upon a star...
It turns out to be plane full of other people off having fun while you are stuck on the ground at work and having to get on with your sucky life while they plan their vacation...
Cinderella was full of crap...
Alright, so this is a little supplemental rant but I have been drooling over an I Pen mouse for some time now and hoping that Santa would get his gnomes (or dwarves or as I think they prefer to be known these days, 'little people') to make me a splendid little contraption so that I can draw and paint things on my computer.
This was of course until we discovered all the fun that is the Trailer Sale saga...
For those of you that aren't obsessed with graphic art and all the fun that involves, an I Pen is a contraption similar to a writing pen that is in fact a mouse. It comes with a little 'tablet' thingie that is basically a glorified mouse pad but you use it to write on and this comes up on the screen exactly as drawn. Kinda like a regular mouse but without feeling like you are drawing and illutrating with a house brick!!
Anyway, some time ago I was looking up these little gems online when I was supposed to be writing a text book for yet another in-house program at work that no one would read except the developers- under duress... when I came upon a SUPER cool version that was at that time unreleased.
Oh it was spendid...
*wipes off drool and comes back to reality * Anyway, so I put my name down to recieve more information about it when it came out. Those were carefree days... Then forgot about it, as you do...
Well it's NOW ON SALE and worst of all available ON DISCOUNT!!! AAGH!!
The wording was as follows:
"We are pleased to inform you that the IPen you were emailed us about has now become available. Further to your request, we have placed a unit on hold in your name and await your confirmation."
Just for me... so near and yet so far...Buggers...
Needless to say that right now, it's not financially possible but it was a horrible suprise when I opened that lovely little email.
I guess in the vein of what I would like and what actually is...
I guess I shall have to keep drawing my little piccies with my fingers like a 5 year old... ho hum...
It's not fair, they should send you reminders or something to check that you still want to be considered for the product or even better link it to your checking account and cancel your emails the second you go overdrawn.
Good grief it pained me to send them the thanks but no thanks reply.
So the point of this little posting?? Let this be the moral of the story, friends:
Don't EVER buy a mobile home!!
I bet "She" has six...
